During my shakedown trip I have dealt with two thunderstorms, several rain storms, a power outage in the park’s shoreline system, and a bout of food poisoning. I am happy to report that my camper does not leak and the battery will keep everything running for at least two days.
Work on my house is progressing. Before I left on my trip the windows were installed, the orange vapor barrier was put in place, and the roofing tresses were enclosed (Photo 1). During my trip the white rain screen was put up (Photo 2). I came back to watch the hydronic heating tubes being installed (Photo 3), the septic tanks being lower into place (Photo 4), and the concrete floor being poured (Photo 5).
There have been a few hiccups, for instance when wooden tresses with moldy streaks were delivered. The contractor and I were able to resolve that problem amicably, which was a huge relief. The beams were scrubbed with TSP, which kills mold.
