My house passed its final inspection and the certificate of occupancy was issued on Monday! It will be several months before I move my furniture in, and it will be two more years before I have a finished house with a garage and a landscaped property, but the house is functional, and after six months of living in a tiny camper, moving every few weeks, I am thrilled to once again have access to a hot bath, a kitchen, and laundry facilities.
Camping through a PNW winter never would have been my Plan A, but perhaps it should have been. This is the healthiest I’ve been in decades. My sleep, digestion, stamina, and weight are all coming back into balance.
My weather app’s air quality feature told me that the places I camped had extremely good air quality, and I’m sure that was a factor in my improvement. Some days were even “0” or “1” on a scale of 0 to 500 (with anything under 50 being excellent). All of the places I camped were close to a beach. Having an expansive view during the day and being able to hear waves at night seemed essential. Here are some photos from my travels.
