This week I took Hansville off my list of possible new homes. The air quality is very good (39 ppm of airborne pollutants related to cancer) but there is nothing there. It is a little bit too remote, even for a chemically sensitive person. And, I may not need to be as isolated as I assumed. I spent an hour walking around downtown Poulsbo on Saturday and only encountered one smoker plus one store too fragrant to shop. This is a vast improvement over Venice, where I no longer attempt to walk through commercial areas on weekend afternoons. People here don’t use as many fragrant grooming products. The primary problem here seems to be scented laundry products. I think it’s criminal that consumers are not told what goes into that “just laundered” scent: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0195925508000899
